Recent changes in California's securities regulatory regime granted civil enforcement authority over securities issues in the state of California to the Office of the Attorney General. Attorney General Bill Lockyer, the first California Attorney General to wield these expanded powers, will discuss his civil and criminal enforcement priorities. Attorney General Lockyer will also discuss how he is coordinating this authority with the SEC, Attorneys General and Securities Commissioners in other states.

Bill Lockyer, Attorney General, State of California - California's 30th Attorney General, Bill Lockyer has focused on crime, civil rights, the economy and the environment during his tenure, and is the past president of The National Association of Attorneys General. A former teacher, he served for 25 years in the California State Legislature, and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and McGeorge School of Law, Sacramento.
